Josef Reyes and Tyson Thorne: Traversing Newark Avenue

Join these two Jersey City artists through their recording of a walk along the entire length of Newark Avenue. The sounds that we hear throughout the hour-long trip evoke the street itself as well as the nature of Jersey City's various populations. Accompanying the sound piece are a series of images taken by Tyson Thorne that serve to illustrate the passage of the two artists along their journey. Josef Reyes is a designer and the publisher of Conveyor Magazine and Tyson Thorne is a photographer.

This exhibition is also part of the Sprawl exhibition, exploring our local landscape as part of the exponential growth of cities and populations throughout the state. [ more information ]
