Rock and Mineral Weekend
Enjoy a ROCKIN' weekend at the Morris Museum! Examine rare fossils, see fluorescent mineral displays or catch a guest lecture. Society members will be available to identify YOUR rocks & minerals. Exhibitors with private collections & top mineral, gem and fossil dealers will be on hand. There will also be events for children, including a sand box scavenger hunt, a mineral magic show and earth science videos! There will be tons to see, do & learn!
Visitors may start or add to their own rock collections with purchases from commercial vendors. Items for sale hail from all parts of the world and include fine, collectible specimens as well as purely ornamental pieces. Those attending are encouraged to bring their own rock, fossil and mineral specimens for traditional and computerized identification. In addition, exhibitors share their own private collections of world-class fluorescent minerals. [ more information ]
