Welcome Arnold Steinhardt, Guarneri Quartet first violinist since 1964, and award-winning pianist Lydia Artymiw, for an engaging violin-piano Sonata program. Arnold Steinhardt, Leventritt and Queen Elizabeth award-winner, is Professor of Violin at University of Maryland, Rutgers University, and Curtis Institute. Ms. Artymiw, winner of Avery Fisher and Andrew Wolf prizes plus major prizes at Leeds and Leventritt competitions, has performed with more than 100 major orchestras worldwide and with top chamber ensembles including the Guarneri and Orion Quartets.
